Somali government has called on Somalis in Diaspora to support the government’s efforts to defeat Al-Shabaab.
Somali minister for Aviation, Fardawso Osman Igal, met with the Somali community in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto Canada.
During the meeting, the minister urged the community to support the government’s initiatives of helping facing people affected by drought and climate change.
“Elsewhere, you must involve in the fast-track and ongoing struggle of liberating the country from the Al-Shabaab terror group,” she said.
The Somali government has intensified operations against al-Shabaab fighters in central and southern Somalia.
