Mogadishu: Somali security agencies detain suspected Al-Shabaab operative

Somali National Intelligence has said it arrested al-Shabaab operative in Mogadishu on Tuesday.

NISA confirmed in its official twitter account that the man from an unidentified business company in Somali capital was in the process of facilitating attacks for two operatives arrested last week outskirts of Mogadishu.

“As per our tweet on 11th July, our agents have arrested a suspect from Business Company believed to be economically linked to a group involved in attacks in Mogadishu.” The tweet said.

As usual, NISA didn’t provide the details of the suspect as well as the name of the business firm he was employed.

Somali security agencies have intensified the crackdown against armed group operatives mainly in the capital, Mogadishu.
