The government rejected the outcome of the disputed process in august last year in which President Madobe was re-elected.
A letter from the office of President Villa Somalia said the regional leader will lead the administration for two years on an interim basis starting from the end of the last term.
Villa Somalia urged President Madobe to embark on the reconciliation process to bring together all warring sides in the state to resolve the difference resulted from the political tensions.
Mogadishu also called upon neighboring Kenya to desist from interfering on its domestic affairs through Kismayo based regional state.
