The African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) on Saturday donated an assortment of office equipment to the Somali Police Force (SPF) to enhance their operational efficiency.
The office equipment, procured with funds from the Danish Government, was handed over to the SPF Director of Logistics, Ahmed Tahliil Mohamed, during a ceremony at the SPF headquarters in Mogadishu.
The equipment, which includes chairs, tables, and filing cabinets, is earmarked for Galmudug State Police and will be delivered to various police stations in Dhusamareb, Cadaado, Galkcayo, Haraale, and Abudqwaaq.
“The furniture will support the police in Galmudug to serve the public efficiently,” said the AMISOM Deputy Police Coordinator of Reforms and Restructuring, SSP Emmanuel Rono.
The SPF Director of Logistics, Ahmed Tahliil Mohamed, said the donation of furniture to Galmudug State was a timely boost to public service delivery.
“We are grateful to AMISOM for the donation of office furniture, and we hope for continued support,” Ahmed said.
The AMISOM Police component provides operational support to enable the SPF to maintain law and order in the country.
