Two civilians were killed while more than six others were injured in a suicide car bomb at Ex- Control junction along Mogadishu-Afgoye road on Monday.
According to sources, the VBIED’s intended target was a taxation office near the junction.
Security forces exchanged gunfire with the car’s occupants; some of the soldiers have been wounded.
Security forces intercepted the car bomb heading to Mogadishu, a militant driving a car bomb tried to speed through the junction of Ex-control Afgooye but the vehicle exploded after security forces fired on it.
Reports say two militants that exchanged fire with the police are on the run.
