Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheyre visited soldiers who are nursing wounds in hospital on Thursday.
The unspecified number of troops visited by the premier was wounded on Wednesday assault by the armed group al-Shabaab on recently recaptured agricultural town o Aw-Dhegle.
The Prime Minister was briefed by the doctors on the medical condition of the members of the armed forces admitted in the facilities.
Hassan Kheyre praised the servicemen for their heroic service to the people and government of Somalia while wishing them quick recovery.
He also prayed for members of the national army who lost in their precious life in the foiled attack.
The premier reiterated his government commitment to provide all necessary support to the troops as they continue their offensive to liberate areas still under the control of the armed group al-Shabaab across the country.
